My two-year-old son was watching the movie Top Hat with me (yes, I do everything I can to make sure he will one day be mercilessly mocked by his peers). He pointed to Fred Astaire and said, "That's Obama?" And he does have a point...
LOL, I've been a Fred Astaire fan for years, and that's the first comparison to Obama (who hasn't been famous for that many years) I've read. That is so funny and so cute! Your son's comment reminds me of my propensity to see resemblances between people.
lmao at the "I do everything I can to make sure he will one day be mercilessly mocked by his peers" line. I do, too. Don't you wish they sold a DVD montage of all the great musical numbers and dances from old movies? My son doesn't have the patience for the drawn out and ridiculous plots that give musicals the excuse for singing and dancing. I want the highlights so we can enjoy Fred and Ginger and Gene and Donald and Judy without any dialogue. Oh well. I'll just keep making him watch what are now practically period pieces.
