Please do not waste the people's time with a useless and potentially divisive resolution that will merely provide your opponents (and mine) on the far right with an opportunity to hit their "demagogue" buttons. Michael Jackson, for all his talents, was an entertainer about whom many reasonable people have cause to feel deeply ambivalent. The encomiums can come from his fellow entertainers, who presumably do not have anything better to do. As one of our nation's lawmakers, you do.
