I've mentioned worries about Maine's poor in previous posts. I worry about families that can't pay for medications. I worry about families being able to afford heating oil. And I worry that our state is stone broke.
However, at least Maine has enough cash to pay its unemployment benefits. That probably has a lot to do with its relatively low population. But it looks like the Rust Belt is hurting. Bad.
